What is KCC Kids Camp?

Kids camp is a three day event in which kids will attend worship sessions, gather with teams, share meals, play games, compete in tournaments, engage with spiritual leaders, and more. This year, Kids camp will be taking on KCC Kids’ summer theme of “Run.” We will see that we are always running away from one thing and toward something else. We will study times in the Bible when people chose to run towards God and times when people chose to run away from him. We’ll talk about how important it is to run as though we are trying to win a race.

Who can go to KCC Kids Camp?

New 3rd-7th grade kids can participate in KCC Kids Camp. In other words, those who just finished 2nd grade, those who just finished 6th grade, and everyone in between. Camp also takes several volunteers. If you or somoene you know is interested in volunteering, they will need to pass a background check and fill out an application. E-mail kids@kerrvillechurch.com to apply to volunteer.

How do I sign my kids up for Kids Camp?

Each family will need to fill out a registration form for their kids. The form will ask for general information such as names and contact information, as well as having the signee agree to a medical and liability releases and have the option to agree to a photo/video release. KCC Kids Camp costs $35 per kid. This helps offset some of the costs for food, t-shirts, and run-of-the-mill supplies. You can pay online through the registration form or in person at Kerrville Church of Christ. Click the button below to fill out the registration form.

When is KCC Kids Camp?

KCC Kids Camp is June 23-25, 2024. The times vary slightly each day. Camp is Noon-8:00p on June 25 and 10:00a-8:00p on June 26-27. It’s important to be on time to camp each day. We get started fairly quickly and have activities happening all day until the very end. In order to get the most out of KCC Kids Camp, we encourage kids to participate at all times camp is in session. If you have a conflict in scheduling, contact kids@kerrvillechurch.com to see what we can do.

What does my kid need to bring to Kids Camp?

  • Bible (if you don’t have one, we’ll hook you up)
  • Water bottle
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Change of clothes (in case we get wet with water-based games)
  • Pen or pencil

What about Food?

Be sure and feed your kids breakfast before bringing them to camp in the morning. We will provide lunch, dinner and an afternoon snack for all attendees. If your kid has a food allergy or dietary restriction, we may need you to bring food for them. Contact us at kids@kerrvillechurch.com to let us know what the restrictions are and how we can best plan to feed your kid safely.
